BROTHERHOOD CONVERSION OPPORTUNITIES
Every Thursday evening from 7-9pm a brotherhood conversion opportunity will be available for Abnaki Lodge Arrowmen who have been ordeal members for a minimum of 10 months and are current in their membership dues. Arrowmen from ALL Lodges are welcome to attend the ceremony as observers or ceremonialists provided they are brotherhood members themselves. Unfortunately, only Abnaki Lodge Arrowmen may go through the brotherhood ceremony as outlined in the guidelines of Lodge operations. Candidates should meet on the Rooster Field outside the Medicine Bow Dining Hall.
Registration will be available for the weekly conversion evenings online at www.abnakilodge.org or you can register during your week at Camp at the Bucklin. The cost to undergo the brotherhood conversion is $20 and will cover the cost of your brotherhood sash and brotherhood member pocket flap. You MUST be current in your membership dues in the Abnaki Lodge to participate in this opportunity. Lodge membership dues are $15 and payable online at www.abnakilodge.org. There is no cost to attend as an observer or ceremonialist.
Please understand that the Brotherhood is not a challenge like your Ordeal. Rather, the Brotherhood is simply an opportunity for you to seal your membership and learn more of the Order's customs and traditions. Therefore you should prepare by doing the following:
- Memorize the Obligation of the Order of the Arrow
- Memorize the Order of the Arrow Song
